Cases: The BA.2 subvariant is now believed to be the dominant COVID-19 strain circulating in Los Angeles County — though hospitalization figures remain low and the death rate keeps declining, the County’s public health director said.

The California Chamber of Commerce released the first wave of bills to be included on its 2022 job killer list. The preliminary list includes 9 new bills and two carry-over proposals from 2021. The CalChamber expects several additions to the list in the coming weeks.
