The Pasadena Chamber with Athens Services and the City of Pasadena hosted a webinar on composting requirements for commercial customers and multi-family residential properties. Thank you to Christian Herrera, Iso Nakasato, Eddie Tufenkjian, Tania Valdez, Mayra Ruizesparza and Dora Castro from Athens Services and Gabriel Silva and the team from the City of Pasadena Public Works Department for assisting with putting the program together and presenting the information.
The Pasadena Chamber presented our 8th Economic and Business Summit in October, 2022. Economist Charles Dougherty, Pasadena Economic Development Director David Klug and Patrick Church and Alexandra Sesi of JLL discussed the economy, local development and emerging industries in Pasadena. Mayor Victor Gordo welcomed guests. Chamber Board Chair Raphael Henderson hosted the afternoon's event.

The Pasadena Chamber partnered with the Playhouse District Association, South Lake Avenue Business District and Old Pasadena Management District to present a forum for candidates running for Pasadena City Council on March 7, 2017 at the Theatre@Boston Court. The City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce hosted our fourth Business and Economic Summit at the University Club of Pasadena on October 25, 2016. Tracy Hernandez of the Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed) presented information on issues, concerns and the outlook of business in the region. Eric Duyshart of the City of Pasadena highlighted the Pasadena economy and some select development projects in the city. Karl Bird of JPL moderated a panel that included Kim Sidders of Bolton & Company, Brittany Dodd of CBRE and Pauletta Tonilas of LA METRO.

The City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce hosted the third Business and Economic Summit at the University Club in Pasadena on October 29, 2015. Pasadena Chamber Board Chair Tom Daly was Master of Ceremonies. Featured speakers Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek, San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership CEO Cynthia Kurtz and Pasadena Economic Development Manager Eric Duyshart presented information on the state of the local and regional economy and gave a brief outlook for the future. A panel of local industry leaders was moderated by Mr. Duyshart. Panelists were Art Center College of Design President Lorne M. Buchman, President and Chief Operating Officer of East West Bank Julia S. Gouw and Parsons Corporation Director of Sustainability Randy Britt. The event was presented by the Pasadena Chamber and the City of Pasadena. Wells Fargo was a sponsor of the Business and Economic Summit 2015. You can view event here:

The Pasadena Economic and Business Summit on October 23rd was a great success. We will be posting video of the event soon, thanks to Pasadena TV. The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center at Pasadena City College hosted a procurement forum on March 13th at the Community Education Center at PCC. ACCESS: Opportunity provided a chance for our small bsuienss members to learn first-hand how to become vendors for our large company members. Art Center College of Design, Huntington Memorial Hospital and Pasadena City College procurement and purchasing officers explain how to do business with them. Watch it here:
On March 20, 2013, the Pasadena Chamber hosted ACCESS: Opportunity, a procurement forum designed to introduce small businesses to potential large business customers. Presenters from The City of Pasadena, Caltech, Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Parsons were present to explain procurement procedures and how Pasadena Chamber small business members can do business with their companies. In addition, Art Center College of Design, Pasadena City College and the Foothill WIB were on hand to provide information, as well. The Foothill Workforce Investment Board sponsored ACCESS: Opportunity.
