The Young Professionals of Pasadena will meet for their monthly Happy Hour get-together on Thursday, June 27th at Haven Gastropub at 6:30pm.

John Barrett of Health Insurance Brokers provided a workshop and seminar on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act for our restaurant members this past week. He provided very helpful information about the requirements of the ACA, who will be required to provide coverage and what, if any, penalties they may incur.

Mr. Barrett gave out informational handouts and calculation sheets to those who attended.

He generously makes those available to Pasadena Chamber members.

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce has been growing in recent years. Our membership is increasing year-over-year by about 100 new members. We are very pleased to welcome so many new enterprises to the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.

At the Pasadena Chamber, we are also seeing an increasing in the number of renewing companies. Some of that can be attributed to the slow levelling off of our local economy. We also hope these renewing members are seeing increased value for their membership.

This year, for the third time, the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce will present Corporate Citizen of the Year awards to two businesses at our annual Inaugural Gala on July 12, 2013.

Cut loose on the course at Brookside Golf Club for our June Pasadena Chamber After Hours Social and Mixer on Thursday, June 20th at 5pm. Enjoy a putting contest and closest to the pin competition on the driving range as you enjoy appetizers compliments of Brookside's catering department and drinks at extraordinary happy hour prices. 

Come out to the clubhouse at 1133 North Rosemont Avenue, then find the festivities at Pasadena's favorite golf course and event venue. 

The Pasadena Chamber is working with our member Ideal Youth by assisting in finding local businesses among our membership who would be interested in hosting a summer intern this year.
