Frextr, the company that used to provide us text message reminder services, has been absorbed by another company that provides similar services, Mobivity (a new Pasadena Chamber member).

Mobivity, like Frextr, is providing text message reminder service to the Pasadena Chamber for free.

Anyone who wants to take advantage of this reminder service needs to opt-in.

Luncheon Alliance

The next networking lunch will be Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 11:45am at Altadena Town and Country Club. Intellectual property attorney firm Sheldon, Mak and Anderson sponsors the Luncheon Alliance in February.

The Los Angeles Times reported on efforts in the Playhouse District to consider narrowing Colorado Boulevard and adding parklets and angled parking to the street between Hudson Avenue and Los Robles.

Mayor Bill Bogaard delivered the annual State of the City address at Pasadena City College on January 23rd. Mayor Bogaard touched on Pasadena's finances, economic outlook and initiatives that can impact the city, our public school and our economy.

The Pasadena Chamber provides information on opportunities for our members to do business. As we are aware of them, we post bid and contract opportunities in the e-Bulletin.

The public is invited to a community meeting in February to review draft policies as part of the General Plan update that will help guide the City’s future.

The meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Pasadena City College’s Creveling Lounge (Building CC), 1570 East Colorado Boulevard.  Parking is $2 and is available in lots 3 and 4 along South Hill Avenue.
