Statement from the City of Pasadena: Pasadena Public Health Department has determined that jurisdictional COVID-19 confirmed case rates have declined for about 10 days, and local hospitalization metrics have not continued to increase during that time.

Pasadena City Council Member John J. Kennedy passed away Thursday after an illness.
Mr. Kennedy was well known in the community. He was raised here and attended Pasadena schools before going on to higher education, including receiving a law degree from Howard University.
In his career he worked in the public and private sectors. He was elected to represent District 3 on the Pasadena City Council in 2013. He was recently re-elected.
