Today is September 11th.
22 years ago terrorists murdered thousands of people in a brutal attack on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon. Those aboard United Flight 93 died when the plane crashed in rural Pennsylvania.
This was a terrible day for our country and the world.
It was also a day of amazing bravery. Hundreds in New York went into the Twin Towers to save others knowing they could perish themselves.
Passengers aboard United 93 fought the hijackers and died when the plane crashed. Likely those passengers saved hundreds, maybe thousands on the ground.
At the Pentagon, many risked their lives to save others.
It was a terrible day for America, but it also showed the world the bravery of Americans and America in the face of tragedy and loss.
