PWP offers a variety of rebates and incentives to help commercial customers lower operating costs, meet sustainability goals and use resources efficiently. Customers upgrading equipment in an existing building, planning a major remodel, starting construction of a new building, or looking for ways to reduce overall energy and water consumption may benefit from these opportunities.
Commercial Energy Efficiency/Electrification Programs:
The Business Rebate Program is designed to be the quick and easy way to receive rebates. Simply purchase and install qualifying equipment, submit an application with the required supporting documents and PWP will review your submission. If the project qualifies, a rebate check will be mailed to you within 6 weeks. Funds are limited and rebate amounts are subject to change at any time, restrictions apply. Maximum rebate is $24,000 per metered PWP commercial electric service account, per PWP fiscal year (July-June). A post install inspection will be required, and the rebate cannot exceed 25% of the project cost.
Water and Energy Direct Install Program WeDIP is available to PWP’s small and select medium-sized business customers who use 50kW or less in electric demand. Qualifying customers can receive up to $7,500 of water and energy-saving equipment installed at NO COST. PWP will provide a variety of water and energy saving measures, such as lighting upgrades, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, high-efficiency toilets, low-flow faucet replacements, and high-efficiency clothes washers.
Customized Incentive Program The Customized Incentive Program is available for any technology not listed in our Business Rebate Program. The Customized Incentive Program was designed to provide custom savings solutions for more complex energy efficiency projects. Customers can receive $0.05 per kWh saved in the first year for qualifying projects that exceed the California Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen). Maximum rebate is $50,000 per metered PWP commercial electric service account, per PWP fiscal year (July-June). Commercial EV Charger Incentive Program Pasadena Water and Power is committed to the adoption of electric vehicles by offering incentives to customers that install qualifying charging stations at their businesses. A $3,000 rebate for the installation of a smart Level 2 (240V) charging station for commercial, workplace, multi-unit dwelling (MUD), and fleet customers is available for a limited time. The $3,000 rebate applies to each port of a multiple port charger, as long as each user is able to charge simultaneously at full capacity. Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and Pasadena Water and Power offers water-saving rebates for turf replacement and water-efficient equipment.
