Chamber CoHosts Free ’Lunch and Learn’ Webinar Nov. 16 to Help Secure San Gabriel Valley Business IT Networks and Customer Data from Hackers

ResultWorx Technology Solutions Says Small, Midsized Firms are Vulnerable; Giant Companies are Not Just Targets for Data Heists.

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and ResultWorx Technology Solutions will jointly host a free ‘lunch and learn’ webinar Nov. 16 to help San Gabriel Valley businesses protect their computer systems and customer data against cyberattacks.

The webinar is designed to create awareness that small to midsized firms are as vulnerable to hackers as the well publicized recent attacks on Equifax and Target Stores that stole personal information on millions of their customers.

Everyone is vulnerable and it just takes an inopportune keyboard click and you can be hit with a virus or your computer network data can be stolen. We want to help our members be cautious, careful and protected.

The webinar will focus on the how to defend against the current attacks by so-called Bad Rabbit Ransomware. “It sneaks attached to an upgrade of the popular Adobe Systems program and can paralyze or freeze an entire company’s computer network whereupon a ‘ransom’ is demanded,” explains Michael Macho, president of ResultWorx Technology Solutions and division president of BIS Computer Soltuions, Inc., La Crescenta, CA..

“Cyber criminals pose as an IT vendor companies are using and embed themselves in emails they send, asking users to download it,” warns Macho who will also be conducting the webinar.

Business owners, he says, are starting to realize they can “protect their data from attacks cost efficiently—for as little as $30 a month. We’ll explain both the problems and the solutions in detail and in simple English.”

To attend the webinar right at your desk at no cost, email michaelm@biscomputer.com or register at www.resultworx.com/register. Sign up and lunch will be delivered to your office.
