GO-Biz hosting local workshops in July for businesses interested in $200 Million in tax credits

This July, the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) will host a series of 28 workshops across California designed to help businesses apply for more than $200 million in available California Competes Tax Credits (CCTC). The next CCTC application period begins July 24. Businesses interested in applying can register to attend any of the workshops and receive helpful information from GO-Biz staff. This program is open to any business planning to create new full-time jobs in the state, regardless of size or location. Doing business in California just got easier 

California Secretary of State Alex Padilla announced this week that for the first time, Californians can file Limited Liability Company (LLC) Statements of Information online with the State's new online LLC Statement of Information Portal. Secretary Padilla also unveiled bizfile California, a new online portal to help businesses file, search and order business records quickly and conveniently from one webpage. READ MORE.

Metro Board approves $1.4 Billion budget for Foothill Gold Line extension

Thursday, Metro Board of Directors approved a $1.4 billion budget for an 11.5-mile extension of the Foothill Gold Line light rail route from Glendora to Claremont. This is the first official budgeting of a significant block of funds from Measure M, the half-cent sales tax hike that L.A. County voters approved last November. READ MORE.
