The City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce invite leaders of business and industry in Pasadena discuss our local economy, their industries and the future of business in Pasadena at the third Pasadena Business and Economic Summit on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Altadena Town and Country Club at 2290 Country Club Drive in Altadena. Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the club and on the street.

Charles Dougherty will provide the keynote/economic overview.  based in New York Mr. Dougherty is director and senior economist with Wells Fargo's Corporate and Investment Bank.  He regularly writes indicator reports, produces special commentary, and contributes to the company's Weekly Economic & Financial Commentary. His commentary on the U.S. economy has been featured in various regional and national media publications, including Bloomberg News, Yahoo Finance, and The Washington Post.

 

The event will feature an economic overview, a look at current development and economic initiatives in Pasadena from City Economic Development Director David Klug.

Rob McClinton, Board President of Innovate Pasadena will present a program on AI and its implications for business (and more).

Cost to attend the Pasadena Economic and Business Summit is $75 and includes the program, lunch and parking. A corporate table of eight, which includes signage and recognition on the program, costs $700.     

The City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce join forces to present the discussion of the economic health and the future of business in Pasadena.The Pasadena Business and Economic Summit is generously underwritten by the City of Pasadena. The Pasadena Business and Economic Summit will include an update on development activity in Pasadena by Economic Development Director David Klug. A panel discussion will focus on AI (artificial intelligence) and its applications for business. The discussion will include concerns about AI, its impact on jobs and employment as well as applicability to business and the economy.
