At its most recent meeting, the Board of Directors voted to endorse passage of Measure H on Tuesday's ballot. 

Measure H increases the sales tax rate in Los Angeles County by 1/2 cent to 9%. 

It is not an easy decision for a business support organization to advocate increased taxes, but, in this instance, the Board felt the need to both serve homeless persons by providing housing and support to keep them off the streets, was important to fill. In addition, homeless persons  do have negative impacts on businesses, especially in urban and downtown areas.
