On Thursday, April 23rd, the Pasadena Chamber hosted a lunch to honor retiring Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard at the University Club.
Chamber Board Chair Tom Daly of Christie, Parker and Hale welcomed guests. CEO Paul Little welcomed city leaders, including City Manager Michael Beck, before 200 guests enjoyed lunch at the University Club.
Bruce Blomstrom of the Pasadena Bioscience Collaborative talked about Mayor Bogaard's support for innovation and new technologies. Chuck Carroll of Citizens Business Bank touched on the Mr. Bogaard's support for local non-profits and Pasadena's volunteer community. Sue Mossman of Pasadena Heritage discussed Mr. Bogaard's support of Pasadena's architectural heritage and quality development projects in Pasadena.
Pasadena Chamber CEO Paul Little thanked Mayor Bogaard for his participation in Chamber events, openness to input and good humor as he presented the mayor with an honorary Chamber Ambassador badge recognizing Mr. Bogaard's upport for new business in Pasadena. Mr. Little also announced that the Chamber scholarship, given at the Inaugural Gala to an emancipated foster youth graduating from a local community college who is continuing on to a four-year college, will be named the Bill Bogaard Scholarship.
In thanking those in attendance, Mayor Bogaard acknowledged the contribution Pasadena's business community makes to our ongoign prosperity nad thanked the Chamber and our members for their support over the past 16 years.
