We will be celebrating all week with these great events.
Tuesday, November 4, 7pm
Vroman's History Talk
Vromans Chair Joel Sheldon and CEO/President Allison Hill
will present an entertaining talk on Vroman's Bookstore's history from 1894 to the present.
Friday, November 7, 6:30pm
Group Event featuring authors: Naomi Hirahara, Michelle Huneven, Mark Salzman, Jervey Tervalon, Denise Hamilton, and Luis Rodriguez
This will be an exciting group event during which they each will read from an original short story of their own.

Author Dedication and Reception with Lisa See
Vroman's will be breaking ground on our Author Walk of Fame with an inaugural dedication to local author Lisa See (Dreams of Joy, Shanghai Girls). She will be putting her handprints & signature in cement to be permanently placed on the walkway between Vroman's Bookstore and the Laemmle. We have Grauman's Theater's very own cement artist Sassan Shakoori coming in to do the honors.
About Lisa See:
Lisa See was born in Paris but has spent many years in Los Angeles, especially Los Angeles Chinatown. Lisa See was West Coast correspondent for Publishers Weekly from 1983 to 1996
and has written articles for Vogue, Self, and more.She has written for and led in many cultural events emphasizing the importance of Los Angeles and Chinatown. Among her awards and recognitions are the Organization of Chinese Americans Women's 2001 award as National Woman of the Year and the 2003 History Makers Award presented by the Chinese American Museum.
We will be hosting a special reception and invite all to join
us after the dedication in raising a glass to Vromans Bookstore!
