Pasadena celebrates the cocktail during SIP-tember, with some of our favorite Pasadena Chamber member restaurants offering some of their favorite cocktails.
Will Ruth's Chris Steak House be a triple-time winner with back-to-back triumphs? Will White Horse Lounge repeat as Cocktail of the Year? Or perhaps someone new this year will put forth the 2017 Cocktail of the Year.

Drinks being offered for the SIP-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge include special margaritas, new interpretations of traditional cocktails and some specially created drinks from some of Pasadena’s premiere mixologists.
Look for great interpretations of traditional cocktails. Try drinks created especially for the SIP-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge. Previous drinks named Pasadena’s Favorite Cocktail include the Broad Street Hurricane from Ruth’s Chris Steak House, the Cucumber Skinny-tini from Toro Sushi, the Vin de Pomplemousse from Green Street Restaurant or White Horse Lounge’s 2016 Forbidden and Ruth's Chris' Julio's Passion.
Once again, SIP-tember: A Celebration of the Cocktail culminates in a grand taste-off at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on September
28th. Everyone (21 years-old or older) attending the Taste of Pasadena that evening will be able to taste the four finalist cocktails and vote for your favorite.In 2016, more than four hundred people were on hand for the finale of the SIP-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge. In addition to the four featured cocktail finalists, guests attendees at the SIP-tember Bracket Challenge Finale tasted culinary treats from The Raymond Restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen, CaterArt Catering, POP Champagne and Dessert Bar, Osawa Shabu Shabu Sushi, Twohey's and many more.
The Sip-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge Grand Finale is presented by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce as a Pasadena Restaurant Week event sponsored by The City of Pasadena, Wells Fargo, The Pasadena Star-News and the Rose Bowl.

This year's competition kicked off with an invitation only celebration at El Cholo Cafe, co-sponsored by El Cholo, Patron tequila and
the Chamber.SIP-tember: A Celebration of the Cocktail and the Taste of Pasadena provide a terrific opportunity for patrons to visit new places, remember old favorites and see the breadth of excellent offerings found in the Pasadena area.
The Rose Bowl generously hosts the Taste of Pasadena on September 28, 2017.
Dance Syndicate is providing entertainment at the SIP-tember Finale and Taste of Pasadena at the Rose Bowl.
Cost to attend the Taste of Pasadena is $30 in advance and $50 at the door.
