John Muir High School’s Business & Entrepreneurship Academy in the Pasadena Unified School District held their annual business week March 26-March 29. This year’s theme was The Business of You. There were student-centric panels featuring recent Muir graduates discussing expectations after high school and a panel focused on internships. Students who successfully completed the Chamber’s summer internship program in 2017 shared their experience and insights.

Chamber member, Val Sklar Robinson owner of Hot Yoga Pasadena participated in mock interviews for junior and seniors. She prepared them for summer internships and future employment expectations. Jesse Dillion CEO of Beacon Media News helped with resume reviews for the freshman and sophomores.

Several Pasadena Chamber of Commerce members participated in the career exploration fair including the Pasadena Service Federal Credit Union (who recently opened a student-run branch at John Muir High School), Chick-Fil-A, and LA Financial Credit Union

Marc Schroeder of LA Financial Credit Union explained, “I really enjoyed my time with the students at John Muir High School. It wasn’t so
