At Stone Company Store Pasadena, we equally revere ALL Stone Brewing Co. beers, even the ones we have on draft 365 days a year, as they are all most definitely out-of-the-ordinary. With that said, occasionally we are able to offer full-on extraordinary beers, i.e., ones that are rare, one-off, vintage, barrel-aged, experimental, etc. Generally, we have one of these "specialty" draft beers come online every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with a "specialty" bottle release every Sunday. Here's a small sample of the extraordinary beers headed our way in the next week.

Note: for all to-go beer (e.g., growlers, bottles, kegs), everyone in your party must be 21+ and in possession of valid, government-issued ID.

Monday, July 6

Today’s the national release date of 2015 Drew Curtis/Wil Wheaton/Greg Koch Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout, which, for those in the know, is a re-brew of the original 2013 recipe. For the uninitiated, it is a whopping 13% ABV imperial stout, brewed with wheat, rye, & pecans. One-quarter of the batches are bourbon barrel aged before being blended back into the whole, providing just a kiss of caramelly heat. It will be on tap for in-house pours  and growler fills & available in 22oz bottles.

2013 Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine is today’s specialty offering. It’s two years old and still holding up gloriously. Limit up to 2 liters per customer for growler fills.

Thursday, July 9

Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station Witty Moron, our GABF gold medal-winning oxymoron of a beer, is back on tap today! It’s a 4.7% ABV black Witbier (“white beer”), that is immensely flavorful (think clove, banana, with a bit of roasty chocolate) but as light on the palate as a traditional Belgian-style Wit.

Friday, July 10

Stochasticity Project HiFi+LoFi Mixtape returns to our draft menu today. A blend of a fresh pale ale-ish beer & an oak foudre (read: giant barrel) -aged barleywine-ish beer, it is all kinds of layered & complex. (And difficult to explain verbally. It’s one of those you just have to taste to understand!)

Sunday, July 12

Today’s vintage 22oz bottle release is 2013 Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine. (Yes, the same beer as will be released on draft on Tuesday the 7th.) Whether you’re drinking it fresh, laying it down for a couple more years of aging, or giving it as a gift, you can’t go wrong with this behemoth of a beer.
