Greg Apodaca, Vision Holder and CEO of Community 2.0 is the speaker at our next Coffee and Climate Crisis Meetup, Wednesday October 2, 2019. Doors open at 7:45am for networking, presentation starts at 8:00 and ends around 9:00am. Stay for more networking through 9:30am. The meetup is at Cross Campus at 85 North Raymond Avenue in Pasadena.

Greg will discuss many ways individuals and organizations can take action to combat the climate crisis. He will discuss the drivers behind the urgency with which we must all act, present research he’s done locally and globally on this topic, and present solutions being implemented in the greater Pasadena area and Los Angeles region.

Greg’s presentation will be interactive and he’ll seek feedback from attendees on what they’d like to see from city leaders, large organization, and environmental groups in terms of leadership, and also support for their own actions. 

Community 2.0 (C 2.0) is a community benefit corporation that prepares people and organizations to come together to adapt and thrive in our times of existential challenge, unprecedented transformation, and extraordinary opportunity. Personal growth and community transformation were options for people in the past but they will now be essential for keeping pace with the exponential pace of change and ongoing disruption of most aspects of society today.

In 2011 and 2012, Greg coordinated TEDxPasadena, an independently organized TED event. Greg envisioned and championed the process to create Leadership Pasadena (LP) in 1993 and served as its Executive Director through 2001. He is an alum of the LP program. LP is a leadership development program that fosters relationships among Pasadena’s existing and emerging leaders. He has been active in mobilizing people and resources in in service to community and humanity in the Los Angeles and greater Pasadena since 1985.
