It is sad to have to admit, but there are sales people out there who represent themselves as something they are not.

In the past few weeks, we have been contacted by Chamber members about solicitations. Callers have claimed to be selling ads for a publication affiliated with the Chamber, or claim to be fellow Chamber members in their sales pitch. This may not be the case.

The Pasadena Chamber only solicits ad sales for three publications, our annual Business Directory, Visitor and Community Guide, our annual City of Pasadena map and the Chamber mail postcard program to new residents. We are currently finishing up sales for the 2016 directory. The only persons authorized to solicit ad sales for the Directory are Chamber staff members. The only place you can pay for these ads is through the Chamber.

If you are contacted from someone claiming to represent the Chamber, or even claiming to be a fellow Chamber member, please call the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce at 626-795-3355. We are happy to verify (or not) Chamber membership and the integrity of the sales person who may contact you.

Also, we do not ever sell or distribute members email addresses. We do not appreciate being spammed online, and protect our membership from spamming as much as possible. We do sell mailing labels to members, but never include email addresses. The only mass emails you get from the Chamber should have my return address: paul@pasadena-chamber.org.

We appreciate the loyalty of our members and do our best to insulate you from fraudulent sales persons or mass emails.
