Saturday, November 1st 10:00am – 12:00noon – Minimize Startup Risk by Re-thinking How You Make Business Decisions
There’s a tremendous lack of patience in business and a desire to launch quickly, both of which can be completely counterproductive to successful innovation. The tendency to have a product-centric focus within a well defined industry-set category and benchmarking performance against existing peers has led to a significant startup failures. That is, there is a fundamental inability to really understand customers and the opportunity drivers that underpin differentiated products and sustainable growth. So while historical information can identify trends amongst known market competition, it does virtually nothing to focus attention on unmet or emergent customer needs and wants. As a result, startups are increasing the risk of launching ideas that will fail in market. During this session we will focus on identifying and remedying risky legacy business practices in a startup environment by showing you how much room there is to improve. $15 General Admission / $0 for Students and PCC Faculty and Staff.
