Ian Oxnevad, Ph.D., will discuss how California has evolved into a one-party autocracy and what could be done to curb Sacramento's power and return decision-making to localities.
Topics will include:
1. World political and economic pressures and how they enable California's autocracy.
2. Why small businesses are more greatly affected by California's economic policies.
3. How the pandemic impact falls mainly on small businesses because California policies promote inequity.
4. Can California's business environment be fixed?
5. How you can use world political and economic events to predict impacts on your business.
Ian Oxnevad, Ph.D., earned his doctorate in Political Science from the University of California in 2019. He earned an M.A. in National Security Studies, with a Dual Emphasis on Middle East Security and Terrorism from California State University, San Bernardino in 2011. He holds a B.A. in Arabic Language and a B.A. in English Literature.
