THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO A WINE TASTING EVENT TO HELP FIREFIGHTERS IN TIMES OF NEED - HOSTED BY THE FIRE FAMILY FOUNDATION

on Sunday, December 15, from 4-6 pm the Fire Family Foundation is hosting a wine tasting fundraising event at the law offices of Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP (655 North Central Avenue, Suite 2300, Glendale, CA 91203). Attendees must be 21 or older. Limited tickets are available for $30 at this link: tiny.cc/fffwinetasting.

Firefighters show up when the public needs assistance, generally in some of the most vulnerable times. Through medical emergencies, fires, and national disasters, people depend upon firefighters to help. The Fire Family Foundation believes in helping firefighters and their families to the extent possible during their times of need. The Foundation is committed to these men and women who unselfishly give so much of themselves, often at great risk and impact to family life.

“This fundraiser allows donors to support firefighters in a beautiful setting – our venue on the 23rd floor has expansive views of Glendale – while tasting wines from Laetitia Vineyard & Winery. This event also features appetizers and a silent auction,” said Elizabeth Dever, Executive Director of the Fire Family Foundation. She continued, “Firefighters have unique needs. The Foundation has helped firefighters by paying for medical bills not covered by insurance, transportation across the country to see medical specialists, and emergency rent for the granddaughter of a firefighter who lost her home due to arson. The public can make an impact by attending our wine tasting and lending their support to firefighter heroes.”

About the Fire Family Foundation: After September 11, 2001, when over 340 New York City firefighters were lost in the World Trade Center attack, Firefighters First Credit Union was entrusted with charitable donations made by members of the fire service and the community. The incredible response resulted in the vision to establish a nonprofit Foundation focused on serving the firefighting community. In 2008, the Fire Family Foundation was established. The mission of the Fire Family Foundation is to provide support and financial assistance to firefighters and their families in times of need. Firefighters First Credit Union supports the Fire Family Foundation’s overhead costs, so 100% of donations to the Foundation go directly to support its mission and programs.
