Finest and most unique Pasadena restaurants offer special prix fixe menus and more

Pasadena, CA-Pasadena’s restaurant community whips up special menus, meals and deals during Pasadena Restaurant Week from Sunday, April 24th through Friday, April 29th. More than two dozen of Pasadena’s favorite eateries have put together specials and creative prix fixe menus at special prices. Diners can enjoy a two-course lunch for $10, $15 or $20 or a three-course dinner for $27, $36 or $45. (Some prices may vary.) Some participants are offering special pricing in lieu of a fixed price menu. Gratuity, tax and beverages are not included unless specified by the restaurant in advance.

Pasadena Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to visit Pasadena favorites such as Green Street Restaurant, Arroyo Chop House, Sushi Roku, Stonefire Grill, Il Fornaio, El Cholo, a/k/a Bistro, Parkway Grill or Real Food Daily. You can also try out White Horse Lounge, the winner of the Sip-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge, visit Kathleen’s, a North Lake Avenue favorite, or try Madeline Garden Bistro or enjoy a special discount at Rounds Premium Burgers.

Some of the special offerings include:

  • From Green Street Restaurant, a cup of soup, GSR salad or small Caesar Salad, followed by Steak and Dianne, Parmesan Chicken or Pecan/Potato Chip crusted Snapper and a choice of Dr. Bob’s Ice Cream, three house baked cookies or Zucchini Bread pudding for dessert;
  • Arroyo Chop House offers dinner at $45 per person including Oysters on the Half Shell, Chilled heart of Iceberg Lettuce or Soup of the Day, followed by Petit Filet Mignon, Marinated Chicken Breast or 6 ounce Australian Lobster Tail and dessert of Fudge brownie Sundae, new York Cheesecake or Chocolate or Grand Marnier Soufflé (for an additional $7). Wine pairings are also available at an additional charge;
  • Central Park Restaurant offers several options including Crab Bisque or Sesame Crusted Ahi appetizers followed by Broiled New York Steak or Prime Rib of Pork with Sticky Toffee Pudding, Key Lime Pie or Blood Orange Sorbet for dessert at a price of $32 per person.
  • Smitty’s Grill offers a $36 dinner that can include Bean and Cheddar Dip, Grill Mixed Green Salad or a cup of Housemade Soup, entrees include Stroganoff, Petite Filet mignon, Herb Crusted Lake Superior Whitefish or Kentucky Bourbon Chicken and a single-scoop Hot Fudge Sundae, Apple walnut Bread Pudding and Dark Apple Walnut Bread Pudding or Double Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake;  
  • Sushi Roku offers Seaweed Salad, Seared Albacore Tuna pr Fried Calamari to start followed by a 6-Piece Sushi Assortment, Mixed Seafood and Vegetable Tempura or Ji-Dori Free range Chicken entrees for lunch at $20 per person;
  • For $45, Real Food Daily offers one of three salads (House, Cardini or Cesar) with an entrée of Tagliatelle Alfredo or Portabella Mushroom with Risotto and dessert of Fauxstess Cupcake, GF Coconut Cupcake or Cookie, with choice of Prosecco, Eel River IPA or Blonde Ale or a glass of Montelulciano;
  • For $27 for dinner, El Cholo offers a choice of soup or salad to start, followed by an entrée of Short Ribs in Red Mole, El Cholo Paella or Orange Chicken and dessert of Choco Flan, Key Lime or Traditional Flan; 
  • Bistro 45 offers a dinner appetizer of Albacore Tartare “Condo” followed by an entrée of Pan Roasted Scottish Salmon or All Natural Braised Niman Ranch Pork Cuancia followed by Chocolate Soup for $45;
  • Magnolia House offers a Frisee Salad or Brussels Sprouts starter, followed by Bucatini Bolognese or Prime New York Strip Steak with Honey Panna Cotta or Chocolate Bread Pudding for dessert for $36 per person;
  • Miso Chicken Salad or Grilled Rib Eye Steak Salad with Port Vinaigrette and Maple Chocolate Pecan Tart with Bourbon Caramel and Vanilla Gelato from Brookside Restaurant;
  • Lunch options from Kathleen’s Restaurant include Traditional Cobb Salad with Pumpkin-Walnut or Zucchini Nut Bread or a Croissant Sandwich with Homemade Potato Salad and dessert of Chocolate Velvet Cream Cheese Cake or Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.
  • A special charbroiled burger from Clearman’s Galley which includes pepper jack cheese and grilled onions, choice of a side, small soda and an Oreo churro;
  • Enjoy lunch at a/k/a Bistro for $25 per person with Fresh Herbed Goat Cheese Salad, and entrée of the a/k/a Meatball of Grilles and Sautéed Wild Calamari with Butterscotch Pot au Crème.

Pasadena Restaurant Week is a citywide event featuring the cuisine of many of Pasadena’s top dining establishments. Participating restaurants will offer fixed price dinner and/or lunch menu items for visitors. Dinners will be three-course meals while lunches will consist of two-courses. Depending on the venue and menu offered, meals will be priced at either $27, $36 or $45 for dinner or $15, $20 or $25 for lunch. (Some prices may vary.) Alcoholic beverages, gratuity and tax are not included in the price unless specified by the individual restaurants in advance.
