Pasadena Educational Foundation's spring fundraiser — Celebrating Our Schools: Innovation 2016 — will be held in the courtyard at Pasadena City Hall on the evening of May 11. The event kicks off at 5 o’clock with an innovation showcase called Liftoff with student demonstrations and interactive exhibits highlighting special programs in our public schools, and light refreshments. The formal program begins at 6 o’clock, and George Whitesides, the CEO of Virgin Galactic, the world’s first spaceline, will be our keynote speaker. The event concludes with a friendly and fun reception with plenty of good food, drink and conversation.
To ensure an able workforce, a vibrant local economy, and a truly great community, we must have strong public schools, and we are looking for community-minded businesses who would like to become financial sponsors of this event.
Chamber members can find sponsorship levels (ranging from $250 to $50,000) and benefits and, if they so choose, become sponsors by clicking here.
PEF will be honored and pleased to include you in the list of sponsors printed in the event invitation (seen by thousands) and event program (seen by hundreds). If we know the amount of the contributions by April 18 (payment can follow), they will be listed in the event program.
Across our community, we are sensing increasing confidence in our public schools -- and for good reason: thanks to strong leadership, dedicated principals and teachers, and innovative programs and initiatives, the PUSD is well on its way to being a great district. We are proud of the work we are doing to help fuel this progress. Many of the innovative programs and initiatives -- happening in classrooms throughout our public schools -- are supported by us and the contributions of community-minded people like you. The attached sheet shows what we’ve been doing for our public schools lately.
