At Stone Company Store Pasadena, we equally revere ALL Stone Brewing Co. beers, even the ones we have on draft 365 days a year, as they are all most definitely out-of-the-ordinary. With that said, occasionally we are able to offer full-on extraordinary beers, i.e., ones that are rare, one-off, vintage, barrel-aged, experimental, etc. Generally, we have one of these "specialty" draft beers come online every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with a "specialty" bottle release every Sunday. Here's a small sample of the extraordinary beers headed our way in the next week.

Note: for all to-go beer (e.g., growlers, bottles, kegs), everyone in your party must be 21+ and in possession of valid, government-issued ID.

After a preview yesterday, 2015 Stone Imperial Russian Stout & 2015 Stone CHAI-SPICED Imperial Russian Stout officially debut today in 22oz bottles and on draft! Both are rich and bitterly chocolatey, and the “Odd Beers for Odd Years” version is brewed with black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, ginger and black pepper, adding even more dimensions to an already complex brew.

The capstone to our Stone Vertical Epic Ale series, Stone 12.12.12 Vertical Epic Ale, returns to our draft menu today. To refresh your memory, this wintery brew is a Belgian dark strong ale brewed with mulling spices like cinnamon, cloves, and orange peel. Limit up to 2 liters per customer for growler fills.

“Altbier” is a German style you don’t see too often from American craft brewers, but it’s gaining popularity, for good reason. On tap today will be Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station Space Bar Friends, our interpretation of the style. Malt & hops in perfect balance, it’s a dry amber ale with a smooth, lagered finish. No limit on growler fill volumes!

Friday, March 27

When Star Trek & brewing geekiness collide, delicious experiments happen. Stone Stochasticity Project Quadrotriticale, a fruity, malt-forward Belgian-style Quadrupel brewed with triticale grain is back on tap today. (For the non-Trekkies, Quadrotriticale is a fictional super-grain mentioned in the classic episode “Trouble with Tribbles.”) Limit up to 2 liters per customer for growler fills.

Sunday, March 29

Today’s vintage bottle is a doozy! We’re going to re-release 24 bottles of Stygian Descent (Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels), a 2014 Quingenti Millilitre superstar. Limit one bottle per customer, priced at $19 + tax/CRV.
