Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program 

Opens Monday, January 25

Program provides up to 50 small businesses with grants of $7,500 each  

Today we commemorate the anniversary of the birth of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Let's each do one little thing to help move us closer to his dream that people will be judged by "the content of their character". 

And the dream our nation was founded on, "that all men are created equal... ".

All we really have to do is treat everyone we meet fairly, honestly and with respect. 

Our nation and the world will be a better place for it.

It is dismal. Infection rates and fatalities continue to mount as COVID-19 makes a massive resurgence following the holidays. The new, more contagious strain of coronavirus has been deteced in Los Angeles County. 

There are vaccines available, but not in sufficient quantities to protect all of us. 

Applications for Community Police Oversight Commission Now Online

In October 2020, the City Council established a Civilian Police Oversight Commission (CPOC) by ordinance. The purpose of the Commission is to enhance, develop, and strengthen community-police relations, and review and make recommendations regarding the ongoing operations of the Police Department to the Chief of Police, City Manager, and/or City Council.

There was no in-person Rose Parade in 2021, and the Rose Bowl game decamped to Arlington, TC, but WE ARE NOT MOVING CHEESEBURGER WEEK! Celebrate the birth of the cheeseburger in the home of the Cheeseburger from January 24th to January 29th.

We are making some changes (depending on circumstances). Cheeseburger Week could be a take-out only event, or include outdoor dining (if permitted).

We are still celebrating, however!

Last Week, Governor Newsom announced that the State imposed Stay at Home Order has been extended.

The new State of California small business grants, funded with almost $500 million, can be complicated to access and apply for.
