Friday November 11th is Veterans Day.

The Pasadena's Veterans Day Committee hosts a commemoration on the steps of City Hall (100 North Garfield Avenue in Pasadena) beginning at 10:30am.

This is always a very nice ceremony honoring our veterans.

The Pasadena Chamber networking lunch and breakfast have been drawing Chamber members and others since we restarted in February. We want to continue these events as they are valuable opportunities for our members and other business people to get together to promote your business, expand your contacts, find and visit with friends and find new customers. 

Cases: The Pasadena Public Health Department reported 20 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, October 27th and no new fatalities. 99.9% of Pasadena residents have had at least one vaccination. 93.3% are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. LA County reported 1,187 new cases and 13 deaths from COVID-19 on October 27th. 390 people are hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 in the county. 15,964 new cases were reported in California on Thursday and 148 deaths.

Each was addressed to me and came from my email address. Hmmmm.

Leaders of business, industry and the community came together at the University Club on October 13th for the 8th Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Business and Economic Summit.

Organized by the Pasadena Chamber the Business and Economic Summit featured speakers on the world, national, regional and local economies as well as Pasadena specific development and the growing life sciences industry in the region and the City.

We have heard from several of our members expressing concern about an email they received from a gmail.com email account offering a list of our members' contact information for sale.

I want to assure you that we do not sell member contact information. While we do provide mailing information to members that never includes email addresses.

Cases: The number of COVID-19-positive patients in Los Angeles County hospitals has dropped to 459, while the county registered another 13 virus-related deaths in its latest data.

Pasadena reported 23 new cases on Wednesday. There have been no COVID-related deaths in Pasadena during October, according to the Pasadena Public Health Department.
