Saturday night a gunman brought death to ten people in our neighboring community of Monterey Park. Ten others were wounded.

This horrific act of devastation occurred as residents of Monterey Park and other local communities were celebrating the eve of the Lunar New Year. 

Right now (Sunday evening), we do not know what lunacy motivated a man to kill and injure so many.
