Support local school children-give to the Pasadena Police Foundation

The Pasadena Police Foundation was established in Pasadena in 1992, to support the City of Pasadena Police Department and has been working diligently for many years to support various PPD Youth Programs such as the Junior Public Safety Academy, the Kids Safety Academy, the Youth and Young Adult Explorer Program, the first K-9 Unit and assets including Mobile Utility Vehicles, and a Portable Training Unit for our officers.  The motto “Helping Cops Give Kids Hope” was adopted as best describing the cornerstone of the Pasadena Police Foundation.

In lieu of our annual Chief of Police fundraising breakfast, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are sending this letter of appeal on behalf of Police Chief John Perez, to the local business community.

To continue supporting the PPD and Police Chief John Perez, we are seeking to raise funds that will help local youth struggling financially to achieve their educational goals during this COVID-19 pandemic while classes are held online.  Many of these students are unable to purchase laptops for their digital schoolwork and participate with educational classroom activities.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated in supporting our fundraising efforts.  Please see the attached letter from Foundation President Gilbert Z. Mares and Pasadena Police Chief John Perez, to assist with your donations that are greatly appreciated. Download the Chief's letter of appeal here:
