Pasadena Chamber of Commerce members, community leaders and guests celebrate our business community at the annual Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Inaugural Gala on Friday, June 28, 2024. The hosted cocktail reception and silent auction begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena. Dinner and the festive program begins at 7:30pm.

This year, the Chamber celebrates the installation of Katelyn Barchowsky as Chair of the Board for 2024-25. Ms. Barchowsky will be the youngest person to serve as the Chamber’s volunteer leader in its 136-year history. Officers and Board members for the year will also be installed.

Ms. Barchowsky is the founder of Storied Lane Marketing, a full-service marketing consultation and design company that helps small businesses and nonprofits tell their stories in new ways. Ms. Barchowsky’s expertise comes from more than a decade working in industries such as hospitality, nonprofit, and retail. She has worked for a local private club and event venue, a mid-size ad agency, and in a Fortune 500 company. Ms. Barchowsky currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and chairs the Member Services Committee. Ms. Barchowsky previously served on the Development Committee for Union Station Homeless Services. She has been featured on the cover of Business Life Magazine's 2021 Women Achievers edition and has recognized by the California State Assembly and commended by Los Angeles County.

"I am looking forward to serving as Chair of the Board over the next year,” Ms. Barchowsky said. “It is an honor to lead and serve alongside our dedicated Board members and staff as we work to grow our membership, expand the opportunities we offer and envision what the Pasadena Chamber will become in the years ahead."

The evening will feature presentation of the Bill Bogaard Scholarship to two local students. Scholarships are awarded to emancipated foster youth who are transferring from a local community college to a four-year university. In addition, Chamber member, intellectual property attorney firm and event silver sponsor Lewis Roca will present a scholarship to a third foster youth who is pursuing their college education.

The Pasadena Chamber will also recognize two local businesses as Corporate Citizens of the Year. Corporate Citizens are Chamber member companies who have had an impact on the Chamber or on the greater Pasadena community, or both.

Chamber members contribute thousands of dollars’ worth of valuable and unique services, products, experiences and treats for the Silent Auction. This year, items include travel packages, golf outings, entertainment, event and sports tickets, dinners, opportunities to explore local attractions and VIP treatment at local wonders. Proceeds from the Silent Auction support Chamber activities and services for members.

Gold Sponsors are Kaiser Permanente, The Langham Huntington Hotel Pasadena, The Rose Bowl Stadium and Wells Fargo. Silver Sponsors are the Athens Services, The City of Pasadena, The Gas Company, Hollywood Burbank Airport and Lewis Roca.

Corporate tables cost $3000 and include ten seats at the Gala, signage and recognition at the event and in the event program. Individual tickets to the Inaugural Gala cost $275. Valet parking and a hosted cocktail reception are included along with a gourmet dinner.
