Pasadena Chamber brings career experience to PUSD's Marshall High students - Giving Tuesday support the Pasadena Chamber Foundation and keep bringing career experience to local high schoolers

Tuesday, October 30th was an opportunity for the Marshall Fundamental Academy for Creative Industries (ACI) students to gain knowledge and enrich their creative arts aspirations with the coordination of ACI Career Day.

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce & Civic Association supported this endeavor by recruiting guest speaker Val Sklar Robinson from Pasadena Chamber member Hot Yoga Pasadena. Val kicked off ACI Career Day with a powerful opening session discussing the importance of self-care, exercise, and practicing healthy eating habits.

The day continued with each student attending one - two hour Masterclass session facilitated by Arts Industry Professionals. It is opportunities like this that give students a view from a wider lens and a more in-depth perspective into the world of art and artistry. The knowledge gained and the time spent are beneficial in meeting their graduation requirements, as well as, supporting their college and career goals.

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce & Civic Association has been providing Pasadena Unified School District with guest speakers,

For Giving Tuesday, and throughout the year, you can support these efforts (and keep the program going) by donating to the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Foundation. We are hoping to raise $10,000 by December 31, 2018.  (Just in time for tax exemptions.)

Donate here so we can continue this important work in the San Gabriel Valley, https://www.pasadenayouthworks.org/host/donate and with Pasadena Unified School District students.
