Mark Nizer Juggles Lasers in Family Show at Caltech
International Juggling Champion Mark Nizer will present a juggling and laser 3D show on Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium.
Nizer’s original idea is to take live performance and add a 4th dimension. He takes two dimensional movies and three dimensional live performance and adds a dimention to both.
Nizer’s invention, Laser Diablo, is a laser show created by juggling four lasers. the lasers spin at 1,000 rpm about the audience’s heads.
Nizer has appeared on Comic Strip Live, Caroline’s Comedy Hour, and HBO’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.
Tickets to this performance are priced at $20 (unreserved seating); youth (high school age and younger): $10.00. Tickets can be purchased at the Caltech Ticket Office, 101 Winnett Center on the Caltech campus in Pasadena.

Fire Ants 3D: The Invincible Army will be presented on Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. in Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium. This program is part of Caltech’s Science Saturdays series.
For more than 80 years, fire ants have been on the march across the United States, costing millions of dollars in crop damage, equipment repair and pest control. Scientists around the globe are cracking the ant’s ancient secrets to success.
Erik Verlage, a graduate student at Caltech in materials science, will introduce the film and guide the post-screening discussion. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
