February 11th, Pasadena City Council to consider raising local minimum wage to $14.25 per hour July 1st and $15 per hour the following July - come to the meeting to let your voice be heard

On February 11, 2019, at 6:30pm, the Pasadena City Council will consider raising the minimum wage in Pasadena to $14.25 per hour starting July 1, 2019, and $15 per hour July 1, 2020. (Sorry for the short notice, I just heard about the agenda date a week ago). 

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce has collected data from our local business community and members about the impacts of the previous increases and how businesses coped with the increased labor costs.

We will compile and present this information to the City Council in advance of the meeting.

You can voice your opinion to the Pasadena City Council via email to city_council@cityofpasadena.net. Please cc: mjomsky@cityofpasadena.net. You need not identify your business, if you are not comfortable doing so. Please email prior to Thursday so your information is included in the material sent home to the City Council.

Please consider attending the City Council meeting on February 11, 2019. The meeting starts at 6:30, but you may want to arrive early to be sure you can get a seat in the Council Chambers. City Hall is at 100 North Garfield Avenue in Pasadena. The City Council chambers are on the second floor.
