City of Pasadena to Consider Rate Increases for Sewer Service, Water and (Eventually) Electricity-Let Your Voice be Heard

Utility rate increases are being considered everywhere. Pasadena is no exception. 

These decisions do not need to be made in a legislative vacuum.

Tonight (Monday, May 6th) the Pasadena City Council will hear a request to raise sewer rates by the Department of Public Works. The hearing will be in the City Council Chambers at 100 North Garfield Avenue on the second floor, Room S249. 

You can attend the meeting to comment or submit public comment remotely. 

Whether participating in-person or virtually at the meeting, members of the public may provide public comment by submitting a speaker card prior to the start of public comment on that item, at the following webpage: www.cityofpasadena.net/city-clerk/public-comment

The Department of Water and Power is going to ask for water and electric rate increases. There are hearings on the water rate increases tonight, later in the month and again June 3rd.  Here is info on those:

Public Hearing: Monday, June 3 at 5:30 p.m.City Council Chambers, 100 North Garfield Avenue, Room S249

On Monday, May 6th, the City Council will consider raising sewer rates for Pasadena customers.
