Getting the Word Out: Marketing Basics
December 10th

Marketing is possibly the most important activity a business can partake in. It is the one activity that most directly affects the amount of recognition and the level of profitability. Good marketing is essential for any small business to achieve its full potential. It is easy to think of marketing as merely placing ads.

Small businesses must take a more creative and coordinated approach to marketing since limited budgets don't permit spending large amounts on national TV commercials, aggressive ad campaigns, etc. This session plans to address the following: Why is marketing important? How do you market your small business to the "right" customer? Where can you market your small business? Is it necessary to create a "marketing plan"? Are you avoiding the common marketing pitfalls? Join us for this very informative session.

Pasadena Chamber member Lauren Lewis discusses public relations, marketing and advertising. Chamber member The Small Business Center:s Aram Panenseco explains how online advertising, social media and Facebook can help your business attract customers.

Seminars are free. Complimentary continental is served for all attendees.
