At Stone Company Store Pasadena, we equally revere ALL Stone Brewing Co. beers, even the ones we have on draft 365 days a year, as they are all most definitely out-of-the-ordinary. With that said, occasionally we are able to offer full-on extraordinary beers, i.e., ones that are rare, one-off, vintage, barrel-aged, experimental, etc. Generally, we have one of these "specialty" draft beers come online every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with a "specialty" bottle release every Sunday. Here's a small sample of the extraordinary beers headed our way in the next week.

Note: for all to-go beer (e.g., growlers, bottles, kegs), everyone in your party must be 21+ and in possession of valid, government-issued ID.

Today we’re tapping a Stone Pilot beer in the style of a vanilla-infused porter. If you’re a compulsive “early adopter” or the kind of person who loves shouting “FIRST!” on message boards, Stone Pilot brews are your best bet to try something new & experimental before anyone else catches wind of it. We generally tap a new pilot beer every Monday.

One of our funkiest and most fanatically beloved oak-aged brews, Stone Foudre-Aged Imperial Saison, is back on tap starting today. Fermented with Brettanomyces in addition to the usual Saccharomyces, it is redolent of tropical fruit (all from the yeast!) and is bone dry on the palate. It also has hints of the white wine that previously inhabited the foudres before we filled them with the saison.

Bottles of Ken Schmidt/Iron Fist/Stone Mint Chocolate Imperial Stout will be re-released today. We know. We audibly gasped we when saw that, too. Originally released in 2012, it is becoming unicorn-level rare. If you’ve never tried it, we assure you: the flavors live up to your every expectation. We will only be releasing one case of bottles, so please limit one bottle per customer.
