From Pasadena Playhouse Executive Director Elizabeth Doran:
Dear Playhouse Friends,
I hope you and your loved ones are well as we head into the holiday season.
We are now in the final two weeks of our incendiary production of the timeless courtroom classic TWELVE ANGRY MEN. My partner, Artistic Director Sheldon Epps, has crafted an exquisite, harrowing production that wrestles with the questions of race relations in our courts and our society as a whole: how far have we truly come? And, more pointedly, how far must we go before the racial conversation leads us to tangible equality in all arenas? With TWELVE ANGRY MEN, Sheldon has expounded on a universal dialogue that is in motion on all fronts; through the lens of the Trayvon Martin case and beyond, he brings us a production that speaks to our country, our world, and our humanity.
Through the incredible support of Wells Fargo and our generous Theatrical Diversity Project Donors, we are able to offer a one-week-only special deal for remaining performances of TWELVE ANGRY MEN. Our supporters, Sheldon, myself and our entire organization recognize that everyone deserves the opportunity to see live theatre and price should never be a barrier. We are pleased to pass along this gift to our wonderful patrons, so that everyone can attend TWELVE ANGRY MEN and become a part of the global conversation that affects us all.

See what Audiences and Critics are saying about TWELVE ANGRY MEN:
“The tensions and dramatic beats are well choreographed by Epps.” -On Stage Los Angeles
Five out of Five Stars -YELP
“Rose's heavily carpentered writing lets the nuts and bolts stick out, but it makes one of the linchpins of democracy — the right to a jury of one's peers — an engine of dramatic suspense. Epps injects some risk by making his production about racial bias. Epps’ attractively mounted revival…was inspired in part by current events (such as the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin and the ensuing George Zimmerman trial) that routinely get the whole nation talking but often at cross-purposes. Epps wants to extend the public conversation.” -Los Angeles Times
“…when Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago…the African-American community is looking at this ISSUE THROUGH A SET of experiences and a history that - THAT DOESN'T GO AWAY” -President Barack Obama
We invite you all to join us for an unforgettable experience at our theatre.
Enjoy the show!
