The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce is participating in the fourth annual Small Business Saturday on November 30th. Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses nationwide. Celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the day has given small businesses across the country a huge boost.

Recognizing the importance of supporting small independently-owned businesses in our community, the Pasadean Chamber is pleased to announce our support for Small Business Saturday and its Neighborhood Champion program.  The greater Pasadena area is encouraged to take part in Small Business Saturday on November 30th by shopping at our local Chamber member businesses and dining at our local restaurant members.

In order to help rally communities around the day, American Express created a Neighborhood Champions program, working with business organizations like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA), the U.S. Black Chambers the Latino Coalition and the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, to support communities in organizing Small Business Saturday events throughout the country. Attendees of local Neighborhood Champion events will have the opportunity to pick up Shop Small® items like tote bags, buttons and balloons.

Small business owners can take advantage of free marketing tools and consumers can find small merchants to shop at on Small Business Saturday by visiting www.shopsmall.com.

The Pasadena Chamber is anticipating having give-away items, posters and other incentives for participating businesses to give to customers on November 30th.

If your business would like to take part, display a poster or receive incentive items to reward your customers on Small Business Saturday, please email paul@pasadena-chamber.org.

About Small Business Saturday

November 30th marks the fourth annual Small Business Saturday, a day to support the local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country. Small Business Saturday was created in 2010 by American Express in response to small business owners’ most pressing need: more customers.
