The City of Pasadena adopted a Seismic Retrofit Ordinance in 2019 to make older, soft story apartment buildings and their occupants safer from earthquakes. These buildings are considered vulnerable to serious earthquake damage based on their age, type of construction, and materials.
On behalf of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, I am pleased to announce we have arranged for chamber member Optimum Seismic, Inc. to provide free preliminary earthquake retrofit engineering services for apartment building owners and managers from now through and September 30, 2022.
