At 3:00 Stater Brothers at Allen and Washington will host a playing of taps, one of many across the region.
My father served in the Navy in World War II. My uncles served on the Marines and Army. My cousin served in the Army in Vietnam. Almost every one of us has a relative or friend who has served our country in our military.
Today is a day to remember those who paid the ultimate price to preserve our freedoms and way of life.
Please, take a moment today to remember that the lifestyle we enjoy Is built on the sacrifice and service of everyone who has served in the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marines.
Today is a day for barbecues, picnics, parades, family outings and fun.
